Food & Shopping at Schitterhof: Matteo, Mama's Tacos & Shuttle

Whether you need a proper breakfast in the morning, fancy pizza in the evening, or prefer cooking for yourself — at Schitterhof, you can do both. Here's what Matteo and Mama's Tacos serve up, and how to grab your groceries without the hassle.

You can stay on-site all day at Schitterhof and still have everything you need. During Formula 1 and MotoGP, two food areas are at your service: MATTEO does breakfast in the morning and Italian classics in the evening, while MAMA'S TACOS brings Mexican flavour with tacos and burritos. Both spots are right on the grounds, less than a five-minute walk from most pitches.

What's on offer at Matteo and Mama's Tacos?

At Matteo, you can start your day from 07:00 with breakfast — coffee, fresh rolls, muesli, the usual stuff, nothing fancy. From 11:00 onwards, the hot kitchen fires up: pizza and pasta from the oven in the evening, honestly made, no frozen nonsense. Mama's Tacos brings the heat: tacos, burritos, vegetarian options too if that's your thing. Portions are sized so you'll be satisfied without needing a post-meal nap. No longer a secret: Mama's Tacos was awarded 3 flowers again in 2026 by Falstaff (93 points in the Falstaff Streetfood Guide 2026).

Both areas are open daily until around 23:00. You can pay cash or card — Visa, Mastercard, Maestro — no minimum spend required. Dogs on leads are welcome in the outdoor areas; inside is off-limits for our four-legged friends for hygiene reasons.

Self-catering? Free shuttle to the supermarket

If you'd rather cook for yourself or stock up on drinks and snacks for the next day: during Formula 1 and MotoGP, a free shuttle runs to the supermarket on Fridays and Saturdays, every 30 minutes. You hop on, do your shopping, and come back relaxed — no faff with parking or traffic. Exact departure times are posted at check-in and announced through our info channels.

Free drinking water for refills is available at the central taps by the sanitary buildings. Ice cubes for your coolbox or sundowner can be picked up at Matteo.

Can I use my own BBQ?

Yes, gas or electric grills are absolutely fine. Charcoal grills, open fires, campfires and fire bowls are not allowed for fire safety reasons. We want you to feel at home — but we also want everyone to stay safe.
