Quiet Campsite at the Red Bull Ring: High-Class Camping, Not a Party Site

Schitterhof CAMPING WEISS is a quiet, officially accredited event campsite (colour code WEISS) at the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg – and very deliberately not a party campsite. Strict quiet hours apply here from 23:00 to 07:00, and security enforces them at night. Add to that high-quality facilities, clean washrooms, excellent food and a team that guests praise again and again for its friendliness. The main entrance of the Red Bull Ring is only around 900 metres away.

Is Schitterhof a party campsite?

No. Schitterhof CAMPING WEISS is a quiet event campsite. There's no party zone on site, and overly loud sound systems are banned under the campsite rules. If you want to celebrate after race day, there are dedicated places for that around the Red Bull Ring – here with us, you come back to peace and quiet and start the next race day well rested.

Our guests are families, couples, motorhome travellers and everyone who loves motorsport but still wants a good night's sleep.

How strictly are the quiet hours enforced?

Very strictly – it's at the heart of who we are. The rules are set out in the campsite rules and apply to all guests:

To show this isn't just on paper, we had it measured: an independent noise measurement according to ÖNORM S 5004 over two nights of the 2026 Formula 1 weekend found no noise from our guests at any measurement time and recorded a “very quiet campsite operation”. The background level of around 47 dB(A) measurable at night came from the surroundings of the Red Bull Ring, not from the campsite. You'll find all the details on our page Proven quiet – measured.

What facilities can you expect at Schitterhof?

We see ourselves as quiet high-class camping: well-kept meadows instead of mass camping, clear rules instead of chaos.

• Pitches by vehicle length – from MINI (tent-only pitch) through BASIC and PREMIUM to PREMIUM XXL for motorhomes up to 12 m. Which categories you can book depends on the event.
• 100 % green electricity at all pitches with a power hook-up (230 V / 8 A).
• Permanent wooden chalets with bunk beds made of Swiss stone pine, lockable, with power and light – plus VIP bathrooms exclusively for chalet guests. More in the article Chalets at the Red Bull Ring.
• Clean, modern washrooms – separate for women and men, with showers, toilets and washbasins. On event days they're cleaned in the morning, at midday and in the evening, with extra cleaning at peak times. Hot water is available around the clock.
• Safety – a lit site, access only for registered guests with a wristband, security during events.

How good is the food on site?

Excellent – and it's not just us saying so. Schitterhof CAMPING WEISS holds the “Recommended 2026” award from Restaurant Guru, and our food partner MAMAS TACOS has been recognised by Falstaff.

On event days there's breakfast and snacks from 07:00, hot food from 16:00, open until 23:00. MATTEO (breakfast, pizza & pasta in the evening) is there at every event, MAMAS TACOS (tacos, burritos) comes for Formula 1 and MotoGP. More in the article Food & shopping at the campsite.

How friendly is the team?

Behind Schitterhof is the Schitter family – Ina Schitter runs the campsite. How far is it from the campsite to the Red Bull Ring?

From Schitterhof (Spielbergerstraße 12, 8724 Spielberg) it's around 900 metres to the main entrance of the Red Bull Ring – about ten minutes on foot. From the main entrance you can reach your grandstand on foot too, depending on your ticket; no shuttle, no hunting for a parking space.
