Chalets at the Red Bull Ring: Comfort Without Your Own Motorhome
No camper for the Red Bull Ring? Fixed chalets at Schitterhof offer beds, power & VIP bathrooms – plus included parking. Everything about booking.

Heading to Formula 1 or MotoGP but don't fancy hauling a motorhome? The fixed chalets at Schitterhof make it possible: just arrive, check in, and spend the night in a cosy Swiss pine cabin with proper beds.
For many motorsport fans, getting to the Red Bull Ring poses a small challenge: where do I put my car? Do I really need a motorhome or tent? And can I still stay comfortably right by the circuit? The answer: chalet. At Schitterhof, fixed, cosy wooden cabins await – you don't need a camper or camping gear, just your overnight bag.
What exactly is a chalet at Schitterhof?
A chalet is a fixed cabin built from fragrant Swiss pine, with two bunk beds – space for up to four people. Inside it measures roughly 2.20 by 2.80 metres, compact but well thought out. You get electricity (230 V / 8 A), five power sockets, two USB ports and interior lighting. In other words: everything you need for a long event weekend. Bring your own sleeping bag or bedding – but that's all the preparation required.

„Chalet guests don't need to bring their own vehicle – parking about 100 m away is included in the price.“
Particularly handy if you're arriving by train or coach, or simply coming in your own car but don't fancy sleeping in it. Park nearby, check in, and still enjoy full camping comfort – without pitching or packing up.
Exclusive VIP bathrooms for chalet guests only
This is where it gets really interesting: as a chalet guest, you have access to four private VIP bathrooms. These are modern facilities with shower, sink and toilet – accessible only via your chalet wristband. No long queues, no overcrowded loos. Especially in the morning before the race, when other sites are heaving, you'll notice the difference. Just pop to the VIP bathroom, freshen up in peace, and you're ready to go.
Chalet guests can of course use the communal facilities too – but honestly, once you've tried the VIP bathrooms, you won't want to give them up.
How many people fit in a chalet – and what does it cost?
Up to four people per chalet. Perfect for a couple with two children, two couples who are friends, or a small group. Kids don't pay extra, and under-15s are also exempt from the local tourist tax. You'll see the current price directly in the booking form – where you can also adjust numbers, nights and optional extras. The price shown is always transparent and up to date.
You don't need your own vehicle – the included parking is roughly 100 metres away. If you do arrive in your own car, no problem: park there, grab your things, and you're at the chalet in two minutes.
Who is the chalet the best choice for?
Simple: anyone who doesn't have or want to bring a camper. Couples arriving by train from Vienna or Munich. Friends sharing a hire car. Parents with kids who don't fancy a tent. Or simply anyone who likes travelling light – without manoeuvring a caravan, pitching a tent, or packing everything up after the race.

You get the same atmosphere as all the motorhome guests, except you climb into a proper bed at night instead of an overhead bunk.
Booking & check-in: straightforward as always
Booking is online: select your event, click the "Chalet" category, set people and nights, enter your details, pay. After payment you'll automatically receive your confirmation email with invoice and QR code. At check-in you show the QR code (on your phone is fine), get your wristband – and that's it. You need the wristband for access to the site and the VIP bathrooms. It's worn visibly on your wrist throughout your stay.
Standard check-in hours are 08:00–22:00, on the main arrival day until 23:00. Exact times are in your confirmation. If you arrive earlier, you can overnight in the free waiting car park right by check-in and check in from eight the next morning.
Peace, security, and still in the middle of it all
The guaranteed night-time quiet from 23:00 applies in the chalets too. The site is lit at night, a professional security team is on duty round the clock. No blaring party music, no constant racket – that's what makes Schitterhof special. Families appreciate it, couples appreciate it, and solo female travellers feel safe and comfortable here too.
During the day you're ten minutes from the entrance, 10–30 minutes (depending on your grandstand) from your seat. After the race you stroll back at your leisure, maybe grab a pizza from MATTEO or tacos from MAMAS TACOS, and wind down the evening in peace. No traffic jams, no stress – you're already home.
