What is a comfort tent?
An inflatable tent that is already standing when you arrive — pitched together with our partner Glory Adventure, with a real bed instead of a sleeping mat.
Already standing
We put it up and take it down. We show you your tent, you open it and you are settled. No poles, no hunting for pegs in the rain.
A real bed
Comfort air beds set up as a double bed — 46 cm high, three chambers, freshly made up with a fitted sheet. The built-in battery charges via USB-C, so you can top the bed up or let some air out any time, exactly as firm as you like to sleep. Plus a carpet on the floor and LED light inside.
Dry in any weather
100 % waterproof with a 5,000 mm water column. Two roof windows with shading and two side windows keep the air moving on hot days.
The two tent sizes
Both use the very same VIBE tent — same size, same fittings, same full standing height. The only difference is the number of beds: one double for two guests, two doubles for four.

September nights get cold here
The site sits at almost 700 metres above sea level, in the Aichfeld basin. September days are usually mild — 19,7 °C on average. Once the sun is down the temperature drops noticeably, to 7,9 °C on average. Nothing to worry about, but a good reason to pack properly.
| Day, average high | 19,7 °C |
|---|---|
| Night, average low | 7,9 °C |
| Daily mean | 12,8 °C |
| coldest September night on record | -2,9 °C |
| Rain days per month | 8,5 |
| Sunshine per day | 5,7 h |
What that means for you
- Add the bedding package, 30 € per person: pillow and duvet with covers, made up for you. No sleeping bag needed, no guesswork.
- Or bring your own sleeping bag — rated comfortable down to roughly 0 °C. A light summer bag is not enough for these nights.
Either way, pack a warm layer for the evening: long trousers, a jumper, a beanie and socks to sleep in. You won't need them during the day — outside your tent at night you will.
Climate normals 1991–2020, GeoSphere Austria, Zeltweg weather station at 678 m — about 2,7 km from the campsite and the closest official station there is. Thirty-year averages, not a forecast for the race weekend.
How your weekend runs
Arrive Wednesday, leave Monday — and as much race weekend in between as you like. Staying longer costs nothing extra.
Wednesday, 16 September
Arrival from Wednesday
The site opens on Wednesday. At check-in you simply show your QR code — registration and the guest registration form were already done online when you booked. We show you your tent and you move in. Your car or bike goes on the parking area reserved for rental-tent guests, a short walk from the tent.
Thursday
Settle in instead of setting up
While others are still sorting poles, you are already sitting outside. A good day to look around the site and the area.
Friday to Sunday
The race days
900 m to the main entrance of the Red Bull Ring — lit, paved and level. A quarter of an hour on foot, with no shuttle and no hunt for parking.
Every evening
Back at the campsite
Italian pizza at Matteo, wraps at MAMAS TACOS. Quiet hours start at 23:00 — the site sits in an acoustic hollow and is noticeably calm in the evening.
Monday, 21 September
Departure by Monday
You pack your things and ride off. Just leave the tent standing — taking it down is our job.
What exactly does it cost?
The tent price is a flat rate for the entire stay: one night costs the same as Wednesday to Monday. On top of that there is only the statutory overnight levy.
Example: comfort tent for 4, 4 people, 5 nights (Wed–Mon)
- Comfort-Zelt 4 Personen, flat rate
- 990 €
- Overnight levy 2,00 € × 4 people × 5 nights
- 40 €
- Total
- 1030 €
Prices include VAT. Children under 15 are exempt from the overnight levy. Discount and voucher codes do not apply to the comfort tents — the tent price is a fixed flat rate.
Optional extra: bedding package
- Tent + overnight levy (see above)
- 1030 €
- Bedding package 30 € × 4 people
- 120 €
- Total with bedding package
- 1150 €
Common questions about booking
How do I book a comfort tent?
Exactly like a pitch: in the booking form you select the comfort tent, enter your dates and party size and pay online. The number of tents still free is shown there live. Confirmation and invoice arrive automatically by email once payment is received. There are 25 tents for 2 people and 25 for 4 people.
Does it cost more if I stay longer?
No. The tent price is a flat rate for the entire stay from Wednesday to Monday. One night costs the same as five. The only variable is the statutory overnight levy of €2.00 per person aged 15 and over per night.
From when can I arrive and how long can I stay?
The site is open from Wednesday, 16 September 2026. The last day of departure is Monday, 21 September 2026. This applies to all our events alike.
What happens if I have to cancel?
Our usual scale applies: up to 6 months before the event a 100 % refund, between 2 and 6 months a 50 % refund or a free rebooking as credit, and under 2 months a single free rebooking as credit.
Where do I park my car or motorbike?
Not right at the tent — there is no room for that. Rental-tent guests have their own reserved parking area close by. You park there and walk the last few metres. The upside: no vehicles standing around your tent.
Doesn't it get too cold in the tent at night?
Cool, yes — cold, it doesn't have to be. The average September low is 7,9 °C, and the coldest September night ever recorded at the site was -2,9 °C. The tent has a carpeted floor and a comfort air bed with a fresh fitted sheet. For the night you need either a sleeping bag rated to roughly 0 °C or the bedding package with pillow and duvet at 30 € per person.
