F1 Fan Zone 2026 – Party atmosphere at the Red Bull Ring with David Puentez, Toby Romeo, Rudy MC, Medun, and LaBrassBanda
Formula 1 is more than what happens between Lights Out and the checkered flag. Anyone who has been to the Austrian Grand Prix knows: the Red Bull Ring turns into a huge open-air festival for three days – and the F1 Fan Zone behind Turn 1 is its pulsating heart. In 2026, a lineup will perform here that even hardcore festival-goers will envy. David Puentez, Toby Romeo, Rudy MC, Medun, and the indestructible Bavarian brass band LaBrassBanda will ensure that your pulse stays high even when there are no cars on the track.
In this post, you will find everything you need to know about the F1 Fan Zone 2026: who will be performing when, what the Fan Zone has to offer besides the concerts, how to plan your day wisely – and why this area of the Red Bull Ring will be your second home from Thursday to Sunday.
What is the F1 Fan Zone – and why is it worth it?
The official F1 Fan Zone is located directly at the racetrack grounds, behind the grandstands at Turn 1 – right at the famous Niki Lauda Curve. It is the area where the race weekend transitions from a classic motorsport event to a real festival: a large event stage, food trucks, team merchandise stands, fan challenges, driver appearances – and a program that runs from noon until late in the evening.
The best part: Access to the F1 Fan Zone is free for all ticket holders. Whether you have a day pass, a weekend ticket, or a premium grandstand ticket – the Fan Zone is included. You don't need an additional ticket, a VIP pass, or a reservation. You just go there, grab a drink, find a spot in front of the stage, and you're right in the middle of it.
Location, Opening Hours, and Schedule for 2026
The F1 Fan Zone is open throughout the race weekend – and for much longer than many first-time visitors might expect:
The major concerts and DJ sets traditionally take place on Friday and Saturday evenings on the event stage. During the day, there are driver appearances, panel discussions with race engineers, strategists, or mechanics, along with side stages featuring comedy and DJ programs. The detailed hourly schedule will be released by the Red Bull Ring shortly before the event and can be accessed through the Red Bull Ring App – including a reminder function 30 minutes before each program point.
The 2026 Line-up in Detail
This year's lineup is a mix typical of Spielberg: internationally acclaimed EDM acts, Austrian and South Tyrolean talents – and, last but not least, a Bavarian group that has been proving for two decades that brass instruments have a place in a festival, and that place is everywhere. Here are the five key names for 2026.
David Puentez
The German DJ and producer David Puentez has been a reliable headliner for years when it comes to big, sun-soaked festival sets. His sound ranges from Big Room to Future House and melodic Dance-Pop, and his live performances are known for keeping the audience going from the first to the last beat. If you're familiar with the sound of Tomorrowland, Parookaville, or Electric Love, you know exactly what to expect when David Puentez takes the stage at the Red Bull Ring.
Toby Romeo
Toby Romeo from Austria is one of the most successful dance producers the country has ever produced. Tracks like "Where The Lights Are Low" and his collaborations with international stars have garnered millions of streams. Toby Romeo has already been at the Red Bull Ring in previous years – making him a regular at this special Fan Zone. His sets are energetic, melodic, and perfect for that late afternoon moment when the sun is shining over Styria and the weekend is in full swing.
Rudy MC
Rudy MC from South Tyrol is not just a DJ – he is a mix of DJ, MC, live drummer, and crowd energizer. Those who have experienced him at the Electric Love Festival, the Donauinselfest, or one of the legendary Summer Splash parties know: Rudy MC brings a vibe that cannot be imitated. He has played as a support DJ for David Guetta, Avicii, Martin Garrix, and Steve Aoki – and at the Austrian Grand Prix, he is a guaranteed crowd pleaser.
Medun
Medun hails from the Tyrolean Alps, is a resident DJ at Austria's largest club, the Wiener Prater Dome, and one of the country's biggest dance music exports. With over 100 shows a year, viral TikTok hits, and festival performances from Salzburg to Croatia, he is one of the acts you definitely shouldn't miss in 2026. His sound is danceable, melodic, with a hefty dose of Big Room energy.
LaBrassBanda
And then – as a contrast to everything that has been on stage before – LaBrassBanda from Bavaria. Brass, Bavarian reggae, polka-funk, big band rock. What may sound like a style clash is in fact one of the most intense live experiences you can have in Spielberg. When the trumpets start playing, the racetrack briefly stops being a motorsport event – and turns into a huge, smiling, sweating summer party. LaBrassBanda has managed to become international festival headliners with brass music, and that's the energy they bring to the Red Bull Ring in 2026.
More than Music: What Else the Fan Zone Has to Offer
The F1 Fan Zone is a microcosm of its own beyond the event stage. Here you'll find a range of experiences that give every race weekend its own festival character:
- F1® Sim Racing – take a lap at the Red Bull Ring on the original simulator.
- F1® LED Pit Stop Challenge – who can do the fastest tire change?
- Virtual Pit Tours – a behind-the-scenes look at an F1 team via VR goggles.
- F1® Blast Lane – experience a real Formula 1 wind tunnel.
- Bungy Jump from 65 meters high – for those who need more adrenaline than the track provides.
- Driver Appearances and Autograph Sessions – drivers, team principals, sports legends live on stage.
- Exhibition of Historic Cars – legendary F1 cars to admire up close.
In addition, there are food trucks from around the world, regional delicacies, craft beer stands, and everything a real festival needs: enough shade, enough space, enough atmosphere.
The Steiermark Village – the slightly more rustic alternative
For those who find the EDM energy of the F1 Fan Zone a bit overwhelming at times, they can stroll over to the Steiermark Village, located across from the Red Bull Wing (Welcome Center). Here, regional sounds, lively folk music, a rustic atmosphere, and Styrian cuisine dominate. Entry is free – just like at the F1 Fan Zone – with any valid ticket.
Both zones complement each other perfectly: loud and international on one side, down-to-earth and Styrian on the other.Tips for the perfect Fan Zone day
A few insights from recent years – the little things make a big difference:
- Take a cashless card or have your card ready. Many stands at the Red Bull Ring only accept cashless payments.
- Install the Red Bull Ring App. This way, you won't miss any program point – it reminds you 30 minutes before each slot.
- Water and sunscreen. Sounds trivial, but it's worth gold in Styria in June.
- Sturdy footwear. You will be standing, dancing, and walking a lot.
- Power bank. Battery is drained after two hours of taking photos and stories.
- Plan concert highlights consciously. If you want to be in front of the stage at 9:30 pm, you should be there by 8:00 pm at the latest.
Practical note: Party in the Fan Zone, peace at the campsite
One thing in advance, because we are confronted with it time and time again – and so you know exactly what to expect: Schitterhof CAMPING WEISS is not a party campsite. We value a relaxed, family atmosphere with a clearly regulated and consistently enforced night's rest. You can actually sleep with us after a long, loud festival day. However, those who want to continue partying at the campsite until the morning are not in the right place with us – and we prefer to make that clear beforehand.
But this explicitly does not mean that you have to do without a party atmosphere. On the contrary. The F1 Fan Zone with its large event stage is about 15 minutes away on foot from Schitterhof CAMPING WEISS – and not via field paths or gravel, but via a lit, paved, and continuously flat footpath. This makes the difference especially late at night: You don't need a flashlight or hiking boots, you can safely and comfortably reach the stage even in wet weather – and return just as relaxed.
The result is a combination that has proven itself around the race weekend: You party where the party is – and sleep where sleep is. No driving by car after the concert, no traffic jam, no shuttle stress. 15 minutes there, festival evening in the Fan Zone, 15 minutes back, door closed, peace. Those who want to stand well-rested at the trackside the next morning know exactly how valuable that is.

Conclusion: The F1 Fan Zone is the soundtrack to your race weekend
The Austrian Grand Prix is not just about the 71 laps on Sunday. It's about what happens before, in between, and after: the festival feeling in the F1 Fan Zone, the concerts by David Puentez and LaBrassBanda, the beats by Toby Romeo, Rudy MC, and Medun, the driver appearances, the smell of fries and sunscreen, the voices of tens of thousands of fans who are all here for the same reason.
Those coming to Spielberg in 2026 should be prepared to spend more time in the Fan Zone than originally planned. It is precisely this area that turns an F1 weekend into an experience that you will want to see again every year.
See you at the Red Bull Ring – and maybe even at LaBrassBanda.
